Privacy policy
The protection of your personal data is of particular importance to us. We therefore process your data exclusively in accordance with the legal provisions (GDPR, DSG, TKG 2021). In this privacy policy we inform you about the key aspects of data processing in connection with our website.
1. Contacting us
If you contact us via the contact form on our website or by email, we store the details you provide (topic, name, company, email address and message) in order to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The contact form is transmitted to us as an email via our web server. We do not pass on this information without your consent.
2. Server log files (infrastructure)
The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address (collected in anonymised or pseudonymised form)
This data cannot be attributed to specific individuals. We do not combine this data with data from other sources. We reserve the right to review this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.
3. Cookies and consent
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device via your browser. Our website does not need cookies to work. We only set cookies for web analytics with Google Analytics (section 4), and only if you have agreed to this in our consent dialog.
We store your decision (consent or refusal) in your browser’s local storage so that we do not have to ask you again on every page. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer; analytics cookies that have already been set are deleted. You can also delete cookies in your browser at any time.
4. Google Analytics
With your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) we use the web analytics service Google Analytics on our website, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
Google Analytics uses technologies such as cookies or device IDs that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there. Google Analytics does not store complete IP addresses but truncates them within the EU before any forwarding or storage. Nevertheless, it cannot be ruled out that data is transferred to the parent company Google LLC in the USA. For the USA there is an adequacy decision of the European Commission (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) under which Google is certified.
Withdrawal: you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the footer of our website.
5. Data processing in IT services and consulting
As part of our IT consulting and services, we process personal data of customers, prospective customers and partners in order to fulfil our contractual and pre-contractual obligations. This includes master data (e.g. names, addresses), contact details (e.g. email addresses, telephone numbers) as well as contract and project data.
Where we gain access to our customers’ IT infrastructure in the course of IT support, system analyses or maintenance (remote or on site), this is done exclusively for troubleshooting or system optimisation. In such cases we generally act as a processor and conclude separate data processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR) with our customers.
6. Web meetings
For consultations, presentations and remote technical support we use remote maintenance and web conferencing tools (e.g. Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Nextcloud Talk). When these services are used, technical data (e.g. IP address, connection data, video and audio data) is processed. By taking part in such a meeting you consent to the processing of this data.
7. Confidentiality and data security (technical and organisational measures)
We attach great importance to IT security. All data we process is protected against unauthorised access, loss or manipulation by state-of-the-art technical and organisational measures. These include encryption of transmission channels (SSL/TLS), strict access controls, firewalls and antivirus software as well as regular data protection training.
8. Your rights
With regard to your data processed by us, you generally have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection. Please contact the controller (see section 9).
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been infringed in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with us or with the competent supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
